2. Use Pert Plus
Of course, this is referring to upper middle poor class. If you were lower poor class, you bought the store brand shampoo/conditioner combination. Because why spend money on shampoo AND conditioner when you can get both in one handy bottle? Never mind that it does a shitty job at either shampooing or conditioning, think of Francis down the street. She doesn't get conditioner at all, that's why she always comes to school lookin' like she stuck a fork in the electric socket.

ReplyDeleteBuy bread from outlet stores like Wonder. My mom used to do this and we used to have to eat stale bread that was 10 for a dollar from some outlet store in a neighboring town. It was really bad and was for people on diets, I think it was called Holiday Bread, and had sesame seeds that would fall off when you'd try to eat it without making a mess at school (very embarassing). We also had to eat cheap hamburgers that were 10 for a dollar because our father had an appetite and was not satisfied with just one burger. These were not good burgers, very thin and probably soy meal, my mom would "doctor them up" with lettuce and tomato, but they never tasted very good. They just gave her a break from cooking. And she never cooked on Saturday. Oh and don't get me started about powdered milk, and how my mom would mix it in with the regular skim (because it was 4cents less) milk and try to fool us.
